Amulet

Amulet
Tomaz is left homeless following an event in London. The former soldier finds the decaying home of Magda who is struggling to take care of her sick mother. In her loneliness, Magda eventually allows Tomaz into their lives. As Tomaz starts falling for Magda, he notices an unexplainable strange detail. Magda’s mother never leaves the top floor.

Romolo Garai’s movie is filled with crackling performances of building a phantasmagorical nightmare that is constructed with a frightening momentum. Magda’s otherworldly bidding enslaves her in Garai’s directorial debut of a horrifying tale.
