Laura sleeps with the contractor, Weisman, who she has hired to build a shed in her backyard. Her beach house does not feel safe anymore. Soon after the incident, Weisman disappears, leaving Laura alone to deal with the workers.
The workers become difficult to deal with, and she is forced to keep a watch on them from the windows. She feels being watched, and not in control of the situation. The story moves forward one frame at a time, until it reaches a breaking point, and so does Laura. High Tide encapsulates each scene and highlights Laura’s fierce character that has its own charm in its quietness.
