Lost Girls

Lost Girls
Based on a true crime novel by Robert Kolker, this doc is a look into a mother’s consistent fight for justice against a system that failed her. After her daughter goes missing into a rich Long island neighbourhood, she demands for answers. She finds out that her daughter was part of an online portal of young sex workers.

As the mother tries to force an otherwise indifferent police force, she tries to take matters into her own hands and finds out many stories like her daughter – Shannon. This feature turns an investigative eye towards an American mystery that is rooted in injustice and inequality.
