It was a slow start at the Sundance 2021 film festival. Although it has gained momentum now, and we are seeing various acquisitions by online streamers.

The festivities are in full swing at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, and it seems that studios, streamers, and distributors have their eyes on certain titles.

“The Night House” is a supernatural thriller, directed by David Bruckner and stars Rebecca Hall, Sarah Goldberg, Stacy Martin, Evan Jonigkeit, and Vondie Curtis-Hall.

According to an estimate, the Searchlight Pictures have made the offer at roughly $12 million for procuring the movie’s worldwide rights.

Searchlight made the deal with at least four other distributors and three streaming companies in the bidding. After the purchase, the film has become one of the highest-bid movies among the 2021 Sundance movies. With this acquisition, the snow on purchases seems to be melting for other movies at the festival
