The Evening Hour

The Evening Hour

Cole lives in rural Appalachia and makes ends meet by redistributing excess medicine from townies to local buyers. A community low on opportunities but big on pills, this popular young health aide at a nursing home sees himself as a caretaker – one that is fond of his suppliers and keeps addicts at bay. The fragile tiptoe of double life is at stake when his childhood friend Terry returns to town and wants to capitalise on Cole’s local drug trade.

Through this film, we can relate with Cole’s emotional attachment to his community which amplifies the dilemma of the town’s threatening future.
