The Last Shift

The Last Shift
After spending 38 years on a graveyard shift at Oscar’s Chicken and Fish, Stanley decides to call it quits. Jevon – a new replacement – keeps landing in trouble for writing about provocative politics. The two men have a stark contrast. Stanley a high school dropout and Jevon who is too smart to be flipping burgers develop a hint of trust during the long overnight hours.

Filmmaker Andrew Cohn has spent a decade making narratives about everyday Americans. He draws a generous portrait of two men from different working class exploring privilege, identity and biases. It plays out with stunning performances that outlast ordinary expectations.
