The Truffle Hunters

The Truffle Hunters
The prized white Alba truffle lives deep within the forests of northern Italy. Wanted by the wealthiest, it remains a ratified mystery. It cannot be cultivated through modern tools and the Italian elders who are able to dig it up do so in the secrecy of the night.

This minute number of hunters have dominated a global market with its small enclave. The filmmakers follow it’s pristine journey from the forest floor to a high-end restaurant plate. Ritually and constantly threatened by greed, the truffle hunters remain tightlipped about their hidden powers of unearthing the magic.
